FAQ

Getting Started

What is executive coaching, and who is it for?

Executive coaching is a one-on-one partnership that helps leaders grow how they think, decide, and lead. We work with founders, executives, and leaders who are scaling themselves and their companies, facing hard decisions, or feeling the loneliness that can come with being at the top. Coaching gives you a confidential thinking partner, practical skills, and the structure to follow through.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching is a good fit if you have goals you want to reach and you're ready to do the work between sessions. Common signs: you've stepped into a bigger role, you keep running into the same patterns, conflict is costing you, or you know what you want but not how to get there. If symptoms like depression or anxiety are interfering with daily life, therapy may be the better first step. A consultation is the easiest way to differentiate.

Do I need to be an executive to work with you?

No. We work with leaders at every level, including founders, business owners, managers, and emerging leaders preparing for their next role. The skills we teach, like managing up, navigating conflict, and leading under pressure, apply to everyone, in a variety of roles.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy is clinical care: licensed therapists assess and treat mental health conditions, such as major depression or generalized anxiety. Coaching is non-clinical: coaches help people navigate their lives, businesses, and careers using supportive, action- and solution-focused approaches. Meredith is both a licensed therapist and a coach, and Faith is an executive coach. The services we offer through The On Point Practice are coaching and consulting, not therapy.

Our Services

Whats services does On Point offer?

We offer three kinds of support: coaching, consulting, and community.

Coaching. One-on-one Executive Coaching and Mindset & Vision Coaching for founders, executives, and leaders. Together, we get clear on what you want, understand what's been in the way, and build the skills and structure to follow through.

Consulting. Hands-on support for specific challenges, from organizations to individual practitioners.

Organizational Consulting with Faith: Faith partners with companies and founders on culture, systems, and scaling, drawing on 20+ years of building and scaling teams as a CEO and COO.

Consulting with Meredith: Meredith offers consultation for therapists and early-career clinicians, plus workspace, personal brand, and styling consulting.

Medication consultations: Through our collaboration with Eric Dehner, a licensed clinical pharmacist, clients can access medication consultations. These are provided by Eric Dehner PharmD, BCPS, not by our coaches.

Community. Events and gatherings that bring people together to connect, learn, and practice the skills we teach.

What is Mindset & Vision Coaching?

Mindset & Vision Coaching helps you get clear on what you want, understand what's been in the way, and build the skills and structure to follow through. We combine coaching tactics with practical, research-based skills from therapy world and real-life leadership experience. Clients often come to us for clarity on a next chapter, decision-making under pressure, or patterns they're ready to change.

What is Workspace & Personal Brand Consulting, and why does my workspace matter?

We help you design or refresh a space that feels like you, works the way you work, and shows clients who you are. Your workspace shapes how you focus and feel during the day, and it shapes how clients and colleagues experience you, in person and on video calls. Your personal brand is the same idea applied to how you show up and communicate.

What are Full-Service Collaboration add - ons?

We know, it's a mouthful. A Full-Service Collaboration brings our coaching and our workspace & brand consulting together in one offering, so how you think, lead, and show up all move in the same direction.

Depending on your goals, we can add on:

Individual or team styling with our partner Brunelle Styling

Professional Photography by Katherine Elaine Photography

& Full Interior Design packages with Avery Stryker Designs

How it Works

What happens in a first consultation?

Your first consultation is a free, 20-minute call to talk about your goals, ask us questions, and see whether we're a good fit.

Goodness of fit matters in any coaching relationship, so we encourage you to ask about our training, approach, confidentiality, and what working together looks like. There's no obligation to continue.

Reach out today to begin.

How long does a typical coaching engagement last, and how often do we meet?

Coaching engagements vary, with sessions at a frequency of either weekly / every other week/ monthly / quarterly, depending on your needs. We'll recommend a rhythm in your consultation based on your goals, and we check in along the way to make sure it's still working for you.

Do you work virtually, in person, or both? Where are you located?

We're based in San Diego, California and work with clients virtually across the globe and in person in the Point Loma area.

Do you work with teams or companies, not just individuals?

Yes. In addition to one-on-one coaching, we partner with organizations on leadership development and can work in the group format, host team workshops and/or executive team coaching.

Can my employer pay for coaching?

Often, yes. Many companies cover executive coaching through leadership or professional development budgets. We can provide an invoice / a short proposal outlining goals and structure to share with your employer. We also have a sponsorship request form that you can download for free in our Resource page.

How much does executive coaching cost?

Our coaching is offered as packages / monthly engagements starting at $2500. Cost depends on how long we work together, how often we meet, and whether your engagement includes workspace and brand consulting. We'll share exact pricing for your goals in your consultation.

Our Approach

Who are Meredith and Faith, and what's your background?

The On Point Practice is led by sisters Meredith Meyer and Faith Meyer, who also co-host The Skills Podcast. Together, they bring clinical training and executive leadership experience to every engagement.

Faith Meyer, Executive Coach and Co-Founder. Faith has spent 20+ years building and scaling teams and companies, living the leadership gauntlet of hard-won success, burnout, exhilarating growth, and difficult decisions, and she has experienced the loneliness at the top. As a former CEO and COO turned executive coach, she helps leaders shorten the learning curve as they scale themselves and their companies. She believes healthy cultures are true force multipliers, that when your systems are strong, so are your people (and your results), and that business done well can change the world.

Meredith Meyer, Licensed Therapist, Coach, and Co-Founder. Meredith is a licensed therapist and DBT-LBC certified clinician who also works as a coach. Before becoming a therapist, she built her career in hospitality, so she knows firsthand how much of leadership is about people, systems, and staying steady when things don't go to plan. Using her 15 years of clinical experience in the coaching space, she helps people build the mindset, habits and spaces that match the life and work they want.

What is DBT, and how do you use it in coaching?

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is an evidence-based approach that teaches practical skills in four areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. We bring these skills into coaching as leadership tools, like pausing before reacting, separating facts from interpretations, and navigating conflict without damaging relationships. Using DBT skills in coaching is not the same as DBT therapy.

The Skills Podcast

What kind of results can I expect?

Results depend on your goals and the work you put in, so we don't promise specific outcomes. Clients typically work toward clearer decisions, building or regaining confidence, steadier responses under pressure, and healthier team dynamics.
